Märta Friman graduated from Konstfack with an MFA in Interior Architecture and Furniture Design in 2005. She has run her own studio in Stockholm since 2003, working in parallel across interior and furniture design.

Her collaborators include Svenskt Tenn, Materia, and Kinnarps. In 2006, she received the Young Swedish Design award for her Ava table system for Materia, and launched the Bond table series for Gärsnäs the same year.
