Pierre Sindre

Pierre Sindre was born in Jönköping and studied at Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm. His background as an interior architect shapes his furniture work, with a close attention to space, proportion, and function.

For Gärsnäs, Sindre has designed several chairs and easy chairs, and co-designed the company's stand at the 2019 Stockholm Furniture Fair alongside Nina Jobs. His Dandy chair received the Lauritz Icon Award from Residence Magazine in 2018, and in 2022, Sindre received the Bruno Mathsson Prize — Sweden's highest honor in furniture design.

An avid chair collector himself, his personal collection spans design classics to 19th-century antiques.
