Teresa Lundmark and Gustav Winsth designed the Dag Daybed in 2020, while students at Beckmans College of Design. The piece was shown the following year as part of Room Service, a collaboration between Beckmans and six Swedish furniture manufacturers — including Gärsnäs — presented during Stockholm Design Week.

Lundmark was later awarded Beckmans's 2021 residency grant for product design.
