Sofia Lagerkvist and Anna Lindgren founded the Swedish design studio Front in Stockholm in 2004.

For Zero, Front designed the Curve lighting — created for the 2018 renovation of the Old Library at Stockholm's Nationalmuseum, and drawing its form from the classic library desk lamp. Curve was named Lamp of the Year at the 2019 Elle Decoration Swedish Design Award.

Front's broader work often turns the design process itself into the subject — assigning part of the making to animals, computers, or machines, and producing pieces that include a constantly changing interior, objects made with explosions, robotic furniture, and forms inspired by their fascination with magic.

Front's work is held in the permanent collections of MoMA, the Victoria & Albert Museum, M+, Nationalmuseum, the Vitra Design Museum, and the Centre Pompidou.
