Designed by David Ericsson 2015.

Madonna began with an invitation: representing Sweden in a Nordic exhibition marking the centenary of the Danish designer Hans J. Wegner, where Ericsson was asked to design a chair for his own era. Madonna went on to win Residence Magazine's Furniture of the Year in 2015.

Frame in solid natural beech. Seat and backrest in beech veneer, or upholstered in vegetable-tanned leather from Tärnsjö, one of Sweden's oldest tanneries. Available in natural, cognac, dark brown, or black leather — swatches available in consultation with RÅSTRÖM.

The Madonna Chair is made in natural beech as standard. Other finishes available on request.

Gärsnäs

Gärsnäs was founded in 1893 in the village of Gärsnäs, in the Österlen region of Skåne, southern Sweden.

A Gärsnäs piece is built on the idea that every part must earn its place. The result is furniture shaped as much by its surroundings as by its own design — made to be used, and made to last for generations.
